SocialFi Update, De.Fi API, How U.S. Tariffs Could Affect Crypto and MORE! - Late April Development Recap
The second half of April brought a lot of...
April started with innovation, milestones, and new security detectors for all DeFiers. From upgraded scam detection systems to exclusive giveaways and major integrations, the first half of the month was packed with progress.
We massively leveled up our scam token detection system by analyzing blockchain behavior at the transaction level.
Instead of relying on surface-level indicators, we started mapping wallet interactions into graph models, revealing exactly how tokens move and which behaviors signal danger.
Each wallet became a node, every transaction an edge. We tracked who interacts with whom, how often, and in which direction. Then we assigned behavioral fingerprints to wallets based on deep metrics like repeated sender-receiver loops.
We trained a deep learning model using years of internal audit data, from confirmed scams like fake airdrops to verified safe tokens. The result? A model that identifies risks based purely on behavior, without needing branding or hype.
In tests, this approach outperformed our previous reputation-based system by 67%, especially in catching rug pulls.
We introduced a highly requested upgrade to the De.Fi Dashboard – the “Hide Scam” filter in the Transactions section.
This new feature allows DeFiers to instantly filter out suspicious or malicious transactions with a single click, ensuring a cleaner and more trustworthy view. By eliminating the need to manually sort through questionable data, the filter helps save time and reduce uncertainty for everyday users.
Designed with the DeFiers in mind, this update marks another step toward delivering a safer, smoother DeFi experience.
We’ve integrated WalletConnect V2 into the De.Fi Dashboard, bringing a new level of ease and reliability to asset tracking.
With this upgrade, you can now seamlessly connect Binance, Metamask, Phantom, OKX, Coinbase, and over 45 other wallets. The integration also introduces support for multi-chain sessions, eliminating the need to constantly reconnect when switching between networks.
This update ensures smoother interactions, faster performance, and a more DeFi experience – all within a single dashboard.
Our CTO, Artem, recently shared two important threads aimed at helping builders and founders strengthen their project’s security from day one.
1. The $190M Nomad Hack
In the first thread, Artem broke down how a single line of code led to one of the biggest crypto hacks ever. A misconfigured trusted root (0x00) in a cross-chain messaging contract allowed attackers to drain $190 million through simple copy-paste transactions. Artem pointed out that this kind of issue shows why security can’t be treated as a one-time task.
2. Why Security Should Be Your First Hire
In his second thread, Artem explained why every crypto project should hire a security-focused team member from the start. He talked about how overconfidence and the idea of “fixing it later” are dangerous in Web3. A dedicated security hire helps catch bugs before launch, shape safer product decisions, and protect users from day one.
The message is clear: without proper security, a project is at serious risk.
These insights are a must-read for anyone building in Web3. Security isn’t something to add later, it needs to be built in from the beginning.

Recently, we crossed some major milestones in our journey to secure the web3 space.
Over $3 billion in user funds have been protected through our tools, with more than 2 million users relying on De.Fi SuperApp as their go-to safety net.
We’ve also onboarded over 1,000 API clients across the industry, from CoinGecko to Consensys – strengthening the foundation of a safer DeFi.
To celebrate our growth and thank to you, DeFiers, we launched an exclusive merch box giveaway.
The challenge? Share your best idea for the next feature for our SuperApp – whether it’s a sketch, mockup, or short video.
The most creative submissions will win special De.Fi merch. Let’s build the future of DeFi together.
April was a busy month filled with value-packed campaigns:
We partnered with WhiteBit to host a quiz challenge – testing knowledge while giving back.
With MEXC, we launched the $DEFI Revival Event, offering a prize pool of 8.5 million $DEFI for completing simple tasks.
On top of that, we rolled out exclusive giveaways to reward our most engaged users.
Whether you’re here to learn, earn, or build, we are creating opportunities for all.
April has already delivered new security measures, smoother UX and major growth of De.Fi Ecosystem.
Whether it was training new AI models, rolling out high-impact features, or dropping threads that educate and protect – we stayed focused on building the most powerful Web3 SuperApp.
We’re just getting started.
Stay safe, DeFiers
